he Church of England has told all of its parishes to draw up “race action plans” after a pro-Black Lives Matter (BLM) bishop urged it to embrace being “woke”.
The General Synod, the Church’s legislative body, passed a motion on Sunday which said it should “encourage parishes and deaneries to develop local action plans to address issues of racial injustice”. The Rt Rev Rose Hudson-Wilkin, the Bishop of Dover, said the Church needed to “further embed racial justice” and should not be afraid of being called “woke”.
“Those who are frightened by the authenticity of this movement want to scare us into thinking that being woke is a sin created by people on the Left,” she said.

The theology of the C of E is that "God" is a metaphor for British ruling class interests. These days that means globalist.
It would be appropriate to thank our Founders for preventing the establishment of a State church. Look what happens when the State church loses its mind and trades the religion handed down over centuries for current political correctness.
Without knowing what all the institutions are like in England e.g., the military, I kind of presume that this was the last institution which had not been affected by wokeness. Now they got it, too.

It would be appropriate to thank our Founders for preventing the establishment of a State church.
I see. There were already seeds in the church. At least it appears to me that he didn’t have authority over many churches, and he was refused employment as an army chaplain.
The current article indicates the church’s legislative body unanimously passed a motion encouraging ALL its parishes to draw up “race action plans.” That would be concerning, I think, to anyone who was a member of that denomination.
Hewitt Johnson was an extreme case, but that goes back decades.
The COE hierarchy has been leftist as long as I can remember.
One thing that has changed, with both the COE and Anglican Church of Canada is that there were huge differences between churches and parishes that persisted for many decades.
Starting about 20 years ago, they forced forced gay marriage / gay priests on everyone. And that was the trigger for many of the conservative churches to leave and align with the Anglican church of Canada / Anglican church of North America.
Or in the UK it is Anglican Convocation Europe.
