Bingo. DeSantis did the delegate math, and withdrew from the race. Haley has evidently decided to play the ghoul instead, and hope for something bad to happen to Trump.

Trump is being nice to her when he calls her Bird Brain. She is actually a vulture.

Haley hopes to be Hubert Humphrey. Robert Kennedy had just won the California primary and looked to be cruising to the 1968 Democrat Party nomination when he was murdered on June 6. Until then, Eugene McCarthy was his biggest challenger, but after Kennedy could not be on the ticket, McCarthy (of Minnesota) was considered too far left by many and they threw their support to Humphrey, who was running third. In a contentious convention, Humphrey was nominated.

The RINO/Dem coalition are using lawfare to get Trump off the ballot, leaving Haley as the only viable nominee because no one else will have more than a few primary delegates. Haley, like most politicians, is guilty of believing her own BS and actually thinks she can win.

The Dems want to run against her because it will be a cakewalk, and they hope to goad Trump supporters into violence so they can justify a nationwide version of January 6.
