Soldiers of the 47th Mechanized Brigade showed the combat use of their M1A1 SA Abrams tanks in the Avdiivka direction.
And while Russian invaders are trying to understand where Abrams tanks are, tankers of the 47th Mechanized Brigade have been “dismantling” Russian invaders and their equipment for molecules for more than a month,” the Brigade said.
In the video, there is shown the presence of ARAT ERA protection on combat vehicles. As Militarnyi previously reported in January the SA tanks of Armed Forces of Ukraine had been equipped with an Abrams Reactive Armor (ARAT-1) protection.

It is my understanding that these tanks were in a top notch reverse unit and didn’t get used until recently as a last ditch effort to save Avdiika but I could be mistaken
The new King Tigers and V-2 missiles will win the war!
Only seen a video of one Abrams and one report an Abrams was destroyed…nothing reliable or confirmed
There is a backup plan. “If Steiner attacks, everything will be alright”.
That was my understanding as well.
I certainly hope you’re right. To lose two on the first day of action would be very unsettling.
Wow, that doesn’t read like Propoganda at all!! LMAO!
Then they used an Abrams chassis mine and barrier clearing vehicle to try to rescue the trapped Ukes in Avdiivka.
The Abrams chassis was disabled by a Russian anti tank mine, so they are vulnerable to properly trained and equipped troops.
The mine clearing M1 was verified destroyed by numerous videos, Dima At Military Summary Channel has the videos…as for actual sightings- one yesterday attacking Ugledar area?….expended all ammo and hit the reverse gear, the other near Avidivka hitting reverse with all the other Ukies….the M1 crews know their days are numbered and will one day soon end up in Moscow’s Military Museum….thus the scarcity of sightings….good PR and a lot of Hopium.
With so many tanks on both sides being disabled by drones have any of the tanks used so far been equipped with this ARAT technology armor? Do you expect it to make any difference?
There’s a reason why a platoon is the smallest tank organization the US will send out. Not only is sending out single tanks tactically stupid, it also gives more ammunition to the lazy boy generals who keep telling us tanks are obsolete.
Have you seen the tanks from both sides being easily taken out by drones? Have you seen many tank on tank battles in this war? I haven’t. If one drone can take out one tank, why can’t 500 of the same drones decimate a tank battalion? Considering our investment in armor, I hope you can explain this to me.
