When I was born and raised in cali it was great. When I was going to college it was great. When I started my business it was great during the Deukmajian / Wilson era. Things were booming. Then.... The environazis got their foot in Sacramento and things turned radically marxist when the entire state was consumed with constant adoration for the execrable Caesar Chavez and his commie union. Incomes Gumby, AKA, Gray Davis, and I got the hell out of there. All this time later the californicators have taken over the last couple cities I lived in and made them unaffordable unrecognizable with destroyed manufacturing sectors. Too bad. Beautiful state. But I bet North Korea has some beautiful spots too.
Same here. 3rd Generation Californian, left 30 years ago. Now it’s like visiting another planet when I go back.
I never thought I’d leave, but will be out of here as soon as the retirement papers are signed. Can live for half the costs in Tennessee. Kids have a shot at homeownership there too.
