“Stats show that most men can have one or two dozen “affairs” without it appreciably affecting their ability to subsequently “settle down” and be happy with a single partner. But a woman who has had two dozen men - she’s ruined for (married) life.”
I wanted to ask if you could point me in the direction of some supporting evidence for this. Thanks.
Glad to! Just google "ability to pair bond" and "promiscuity!"
Might try including "sex differences," too!
You'll have to wade through / skip over a lot of scientific articles on the breeding habits of, e.g., the Common Prairie Vole - and you'll also have to be on the look-out for numerous articles assiduously attempting to avoid pointing out the obvious differences in male and female psychology and mating strategies. But that's a start.
