^ correction: one home, no tax is what I meant. Typo. In principle I oppose taxes on basic human nature and necessities. A home for a family should not be taxed because everyone needs shelter. Wages should not be taxed because everyone needs to work to provide for their families. Food and medicine should not be taxed because everyone needs these items to live. Investments can be taxed. That’s how I see it.

I live in N Nevada. There are a few counties in Nevada that allow brothels-—THEY are very well run & after being here 19 years-—I have never heard of any problems at any brothel.
A few years back, a lawyer who moved to RENO-—(ANOTHER COUNTY THAT DOESN’T HAVE BROTHELS—BUT DOES HAVE PROSTITUTES)
Tried to get a ballot item passed that would forbid brothels-—that were NOT in his county-—banned.
OUR county manager appeared on every talk show he could with this INFo:
THE BROTHELS PAY LOTS OF TAXES-—CURRENTLY (THEN) THE TAXES FROM THE BROTHELS EQUAL 57% OF THE COUNTY BUDGET.
IF YOU VOTE TO BAN THEM—YOUR TAXES WILL MORE THAN DOUBLE—
IT was easily voted down.
MY current taxes on 5+++ acres/house/well/septic/garage/etc are UNDER $1000. A majority of the residents in this county are retired on FIXED incomes.
