I did see the “If”; I think I rather demoted it’s significance against the litany of guilt you laid upon Obama et. al. regarding the emaciated status of our various forces. The Hawks do harp on this exact point, and I fear your recitation called that familiarity too much to the fore of my mind. This, as you can see, would lead readily to my wry jab about Bill Kristol.
