Plane lost both engines and crash landed on highway. Apparently had 2 passengers, 2 pilots, and a flight attendant. Pilot and copilot were killed.

"Plane lost both engines and crash landed on highway. Apparently had 2 passengers, 2 pilots, and a flight attendant. Pilot and copilot were killed." That's why they put the cockpit in the front of the plane. Knowing you're going to be the first to get to the scene of the crash is a powerful motivation to keep the shiny side up.

When I think of small planes, I generally picture small prop planes. While compared to an airliner, the twin jet that crashed is small, but I’d probably describe it as a business jet, not a small plane. It can be configured to hold up to 19 passengers plus pilot and co-pilot.
