Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) defended Joe Biden’s mental capacity and criticized Special Counsel Robert Hur in remarks to liberal media reporters on Friday.
Speaking to a HuffPost reporter, Romney said, “I thought he did a good job in the press conference,” Biden held Thursday night to defend himself from allegations of serious memory issues made in the special counsel’s report on Biden’s criminal mishandling of classified documents. However, Romney noted that Biden’s age, 81 is a “huge issue” in the 2024 election, while also taking a shot at President Trump’s age.
Romney attacked Special Counsel Hur in comments to Raw Story reporter Matt Laslo:
“I thought the report from the prosecutor was politically charged. Unnecessarily,” Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) told Raw Story on the steps of the Capitol as he was headed to the Senate floor to cast a rare Friday evening vote.

Oh, Mitt, Mitt, it is OK if you lie to us, we expect that from you by now. But please, do not lie to yourself. Joe Biden is OBVIOUSLY impaired, and to imply that he is not, is only speaking to the wind.
Special Counsel Hur has made a very judicious call, that either Joe Biden is very derelict in duty, or that he is of such diminished mental capacity as to be unfit to stand trial.
Kudos to the political powers in Massachusetts for figuring out a way to get themselves a THIRD representative in the U.S. Senate.
Talking points going out to usual suspects because they know this is bad. So they all have to have a unified voice on it. THey’ve stepped into a narrative trap and its a tar baby.
Dump Biden/Harris and replace them with democrats Haley/Romney. This way, Mike Obama doesn’t have to worry about a job that requires work.

Romney is making a serious mistake. The goal of the GOPe is to defeat Trump. They don’t care if that means all the members of the House and Senate are Democrats, and it certainly doesn’t matter if Biden remains president SO LONG AS TRUMP IS STOPPED.
This is the goal of the Swamp. This report about Biden being senile should be hushed up, not trumpeted.
Save the trumpeting for the last week of October. Not now when they can change their nominee.
I almost just posted a comment about how collectively dumb Utah is to re-elect him. That basically he is for practical purposes a Mass Democrat.
