Rep. Tenney Asks AG to 'Explore' Invoking 25th Amendment

Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., has sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland asking him and the rest of the Cabinet to explore invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Joe Biden from office following a Justice Department report that commented on his "poor memory."

The Justice Department this week released special counsel Robert Hur's report on Biden's practices in regard to classified documents after he left office as vice president and before he was elected to the White House in 2020.

The report recommended not charging Biden with any crimes and noted that the president could present a defense based on his "poor memory," and cited multiple instances in which Biden reportedly could not remember the dates of significant events.

Tenney, on Thursday evening, sent a letter to Garland informing him of her "grave concerns" following the "alarming" report.

She wrote that if Biden is not "mentally competent to stand trial," then he "most seemingly lacks the ability to execute his presidential responsibilities."

Tenney continued, "So it is incumbent upon you to explore proceedings to remove the President pursuant to the 25th Amendment to the United States Constitution."

She added: "President Biden needs to be charged, or he needs to be removed. There is no middle ground."

Biden, in a press conference Thursday night, vehemently denied the report's assertions about his memory, which he said is "fine."

This is just the beginning of his end. May take some time yet.

As I understand, he would not be removed, the VP would take over. He would have the benefit of meetings and speeches not interrupting his nap time.

A letter expressing “concern”.

Yeah, that will do it.

Yes, transitioning from a pudding headed president to a douche bag brain president. Not much to look forward to.

Will a 25th Amendment action provoke a Constitutional Crisis (based on the ineligibility of Kamala Harris to assume the Presidency)?

Dont bail out the Dems. with the 25th amendment.
Make them live with it or deal with it on their own.

Why remove Biden when he may be the only person Trump can defeat?

Any Republican pushing this is doing so to undermine Trump.

Who wants Biden replaced as the Democrat nominee with a more formidable like Michelle Obama?

Biden hasn't been in charge since he was installed as President.

Talk about an act of futility.

BUT... I wonder if it was a "strongly worded letter"....lol. THAT will get 'em.

These people love to throw letters around instead of taking action when it is obvious that action needs to be taken.

Folks, we need to be precise here. The 25th Amendment has absolutely NO provision for “removing” a President from office. Only impeachment and conviction can do that. All the 25th Amendment can do is to transfer the powers and duties of the President to the Vice President, who will be Acting President. Biden would still be President, and all he would have to do to regain the powers and duties of his office would be to send a letter to Congress asserting that he is, in fact, able to exercise them.

Thereafter, if the cabinet still wants to press the issue, they can do it again, and Congress then decides.

But in no case would he cease to be President before the end of his term unless he resigns, dies, or is impeached and convicted.

Details matter. We have to speak clearly and accurately about this.

No doubt that treasonous prick Garland will get right on that.

The cabinet officials are as blind and corrupt as Biden. That also applies to the senior department staff of the administrative state. God has turned them over to their sinful desires.

Biden was tailor-made for the 25th Amendment on Day One. He knew it, his family knew it, all the Democrat leadership knew it. He wasn’t as bad as he is now, but they had to know this day would come. On top of that, they choose as his potential successor an inarticulate and spectacularly -incompetent person whose main qualifications, by today’s standards, are her genitalia and skin color. (Didn’t Biden himself say as much?)

The perfect figureheads and puppets of the Deep State.

The Democrats are totally responsible for this pathetic but dangerous situation we are in. Make the bastards own it.

And the Vice President invokes the 25th amendment against the President, not the Attorney General.

You can’t invoke the 25th amendment. I’m totally protected by….by…the thing.

See, this is why House control is so damn important. Now we can use Nanzi's Frankenstein "Commission on Presidential Capacity" H.R.8548, against her.

As the legislative lever for the application of the 25th Amendment, we can start the Commission, tie it to a Committee, and then hit every news cycle with drip-drip-drip about Biden's senility and dementia and sunset syndrome and poopy pants.
