They really don’t have to vote money for Israel at this time. The plan is to get us involved in a regional conflict so the US taxpayer can pay 100% for the wars with Hezbollah and Iran. It would be nice if the Israelis helped to pay more. They have a national debt of 300 billion. We have a debt that will probably top $40TRILLION before year end. Why are our grandkids borrowing to protect Israel when the Israelis are relatively debt free?

Johnson placed the Israel funding bill before the House for a vote 'under suspension' -- this is a fast-track tactic that also limits debate and precludes amendments but it requires a 2/3rds supermajority to pass, thus 290.

No need for you to worry or seek treatment -- as if that will ever happen -- because Speaker Mike is going to bring the same bill back around for a simple majority vote next week.

Okay, I now see where the 250-180 came from. I had not seen that vote rejecting aid to Israel. Seems like too many in Congress are more concerned about continuing aid to Ukraine than worrying about Israel and our border.
