Democrats in New Mexico’s House of Representatives are weighing an “assault weapons” ban and two-week waiting period on gun purchases, along with other requirements that closely mirror controls that have been in place in California for years.
On January 13, 2024, Breitbart News reported that New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D) was pushing the two week waiting period and other controls, including the ability for New Mexicans to sue gun manufacturers.
Grisham also wanted an expansion of gun-free zones in which even licensed concealed carriers would be prohibited from being armed for self-defense.

New Mexicans are choking down too many Red or Green Chili Peppers.
And as in California, it will have no impact on the criminal or tragic (suicides, accidents, mass incidents) misuse of firearms.

It is indeed an infringement. When a horde of violent, armed invaders is headed your way to rape your wife and daughter, occupy and use your property, and murder you, there is little time to waste.
This is, of course, not at all about “reducing gun violence”. Rather, it IS all about redefining what ‘infringement’ means.
It’s such an inconvenient word, isn’t it?

Messicans like Lujan aren’t big on the Bill of Rights because it doesn’t mention “red or green”.

And so outdated, too! Nobody talks like that anymore, nobody cares about this kind of thing anymore, and we’re just a bunch of gun nuts out here in the sticks clutching our Bibles (as was noted by Barry Soetoro a while back...)!

Democrats and other gun-controllers aren’t good hearted people who seriously want to reduce crime, but are merely misguided on how to do it.
They know damn well that their “common sense gun control measures” (spit!) won’t reduce crime or limit criminals’ access to guns. They’re not stupid. They’re evil.
This isn’t about disarming criminals. This is about disarming YOU.
The wait time will just make the shooter’s list of victims longer.
Why not impose a twenty YEAR waiting period on gun purchases?
Since a wait period works then why not make it years instead of weeks or months?
May as well go for broke here. Right, gun grabbers?
