Measles you only get once, right?

Not necessarily. It depends on your immune system.

Not so sure. I had measles when I was a child (my mother wrote everything down and it was confirmed by a doctor).

When I had my son, my bloodwork showed I had no immunity to measles and I was given a very painful MMR shot right after delivery.

Ditto for my daughter - she had an MMR shot as a child - but when she was in high school, her bloodwork showed no immunity to measles, so she was given an MMR on the spot.

There are two kinds of measles. One is bad...the other not so bad.

Usually only once. Like mumps and chickenpox.
