If the capital of Somalia (Djibouti) were to be obliterated, it would sure improve navigability as oil tankers traversed the Gulf of Aden into the Red Sea or vice versa.
Ummm, Djibouti is an entirely different country and city. Mogadishu is the capital of Somalia.

During colonial times, there were Italian, British and French Somalia’s.
Somalis also live in big chunks of Ethiopia and Kenya. (and now in Minnesota!)
They wanted to unite, which started the five star movement.
Only the British and Italian Somalia actually united, to make just Somalia, but that became a failed state a long time ago.
