He did the right thing. If rump gets elected he should return and face a trial. Trump could pardon him if he’s found guilty. If he’s innocent Trump should give him money for damages.
I am not even impugning this person for fleeing the country, especially given what we have seen happen to people for doing far less, or nothing at all. I have no problem with that at all.
If video or other evidence shows the charges are unwarranted, I think that as an adult with critical thinking skills, I would be able to reach an appropriate conclusion, and I would stick with it regardless of whatever the other 11 jurors might decide.
Point is, some people did things that day they should not have, and in the process, got all conservatives painted with that same brush.
It is indisputably true that there were Leftists in that crowd posing as conservatives, as well as Leftist government agents doing the same.
But I am not convinced there were no conservatives (or people who presented themselves as conservatives) involved, people who had no impulse control. And I say this even while conceding that there may have been deliberate provocation of protesters.
