Social media is a resource but can do much damage. It’s stupid to make a law that cannot be enforced. Kids have friends, older sibs that can get access for them. Heavy handed misguided laws are no substitute for concerned involved parents. The State is intrusive enough, too apt to remove rights from parents.
I agree laws against an unenforceable action are foolish. This can be enforced, like require age limits from the platform owner, not perfect but there are ways to limit such access.
We do it with pron, or do you think pron laws are equally silly since a child can always end up looking at his friend’s father’s personal playboy collection?
