I live in Oklahoma (5th worst). High sales taxes and homeowners insurance (tornadoes). But it’s a very RED state. Constitutional carry. Pro life laws. Homes are inexpensive, so it balances out somewhat. Retired here in 2021 to be near my daughter’s family. Very happy.

I live in Oklahoma also. Owned a distributor ship for a National food product for 25 years. Yes OK has sales tax on retail end of food chain.
I attended many National meeting during my time in that business.
One thing I learned was that most states with no retail sales tax, collect it on the wholesale end. It is then built into the items price.
