Assuming the media accidentally got the story right, and there truly are/were hundreds of thousands of cash and gold bars in Menendez’s house, and assuming the government didn’t set him up some way (think Whitmer, Jan 6), then this guy is a lunatic because there is NO WAY a person can “normally” have hundreds of thousands in cash and gold bars in his house. Period. There is no “legal” explanation for that when your sole income is a Senator’s salary.

You are very wrong. If you don’t have at least 20k in cash and some gold and silver bars in your house you are doing it wrong.
