I doubt she was oblivious. The sequence of events as I understand them was he got the high paying gig shortly after the divorce papers were filed. If true, seems like they tried to game the system in more than one way. But I could be wrong. Would be interested in knowing when they started dating. My guess would be, before he got the gig.
In any case, the appearance of impropriety is too great to ignore. He gets a fat county salary far in excess of what the DA makes, and the apparent quid pro quo is that he uses the excess proceeds to lavish her with vacations and who knows what else. He got paid $100 (40%) more than other hires. Whether or how this affects the prosecution I dunno, but she looks like a swindler living large on the taxpayer’s dime.
I think Fanni was paying 65K per inch, 10 inches total for 650K.
“the apparent quid pro quo is that he uses the excess proceeds to lavish her with vacations and who knows what else. He got paid $100 (40%) more than other hires.”
Would that be a case of money laundering? She over-pays him with tax money. Then he uses it to buy stuff for her. I dunno.

Yah....HOWEVAH, YUH HONUH...STATE’S EXHIBIT #1 - WHICH TAKES PLACE IN CHURCH WHERE SHE WAS GIVEN A PODIUM DURING THE CHURCH SERVICE:
“I’m a little confused. I appointed three special counsel, as is my right to do. Paid them all the same hourly rate. They only attack one. I hired one white woman, a good personal friend and great lawyer. A superstar, I tell you, I hired one white man, brilliant, my friend and a great lawyer. And I hired one black man. Another superstar a great friend and a great lawyer. Oh, Lord, they’re going to be mad when I call them out on this nonsense.”
IN OTHER WORDS...WHATCHOO TALKIN’ ‘BOUT WILLIS???!!! And lying in church, no less???!!! tsk...tsk...tsk...
