The issue is not the lyrics being objectionable.
The issue is that some are pushing the so called black national anthem, to make a political statement about alleged racism.
Hard pass. I’ll read a book instead.
Never surrender anything to leftists. If leftists want it, it’s bad. Even if it’s not inherently bad, they want it for bad reasons and will use it as a base for launching additional attacks.
The simple fact that it’s being billed as a “black national anthem” makes it racist.
As someone who has worked in the music industry for half a century, I can tell you that, hate her all you want, she has transformed the music industry to benefit the performers MUCH more than the corporate big wigs ever did! AND she treats her crew RIGHT and shares the spoils. She did more for individual artists than MJ or Prince EVER DID.
I hope they don’t have another halftime show with a performer garbling unintelligible lyrics, and his backup dancers having what appeared to be underwear on their heads.
And I hope there’s not going to be another halftime show ,mwith rapper 50 Cent hanging upside down, on what appears to be pull up bars from the playground, but still singing and not missing a note.
Whatever symbolism was meant to be conveyed by those shows went way over my head.

I cannot sit through an entire football game anymore. So many commercial breaks now, and the commercials suck.
Historically a good song on both sides was and could be the BATTLE HYMNN OF THE REPUBLIC. Many black soldiers sang this with great emotion.
What about an "Asian National Anthem" or a "Hispanic National Anthem" or an "Arab National Anthem?"
Why does a "Black National Anthem" get special recognition alongside the National Anthem of our country?
She may be the nicest person around, but her music is meh.

The regular anthem will be there. But in recent years they’ve “expanded” it to get this whole “patriot zone”.

I don’t hate her. I just get tired of seeing her on TV when the KC Chiefs are playing. The NFL or Whatever broadcast network is on cover her like she’s one of the players, show her arriving in her limo, comment on her clothes and hair, then all during the game they get a camera on her as the game goes on. If Travis makes a big play or touchdown, they will show her clapping and that gets old............
I’m surprised the left hasn’t tried to ban it. It is Christian based, and American Nationalist.
