IMHO Vivek made himself out to be Trump 2.0 in prep for 2028 and perhaps for 2024 on the chance that the Dims were able to remove Trump (either from ballots or by incarceration).

IMHO Vivek was great -- except for that one part about not being a natural born citizen. A vote for Vivek is a vote for the most conservative sounding anchor baby in America that completely undermines a major immigration law change most conservatives want (remove the anchor baby practice).

Then again, there is no consensus on the issue of natural born citizenship. Recent threads on Free Republic have received hundreds of replies , with people arguing back and forth , and presenting evidence to present their contrasting points of view.

There’s also no controlling legal Authority , if I can use that term, to prevent someone from running for office.

Barack Obama is the poster boy for this. But this also would include Kamala Harris, and past presidential primary candidates such as Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. Some people said that none of these people are natural born citizens, and yet ,there was no legal mechanism to prevent them from running for office.

And that gets back to the initial point that there is no real consensus on what natural born citizenship means.
