Not to hijack the thread but...... there is a report today that the Russians are reinforcing their navy in the Black Sea?

I thought Turkey closed access to Russian war vessels.
Little high speed tape and she will be good as new
Still amazes me that pictures like this appear on the internet, guess even muscovites love their 15 minutes
That’ll buff right out!
I expect more photos of the IL-22 will leak.
May need a touch of bondo!
Looking at the rudder, it appears that the flight controls are connected by cables.
The elevators and rudder have trim tabs, so the flight controls are not hydraulic boosted.
As long as the cables to the trim tabs are connected, the plane is flyable.
Looking at the damage in the photo, the plane will never fly again.
Engines and avionics are probably salvageable.
The planes were lured into a trap by Ukraine. It was a setup that started the day before. Russia was led to believe there was going to a Storm Shadow launch against the Kerch bridge.
What amazes me what the all old men and women Ukrainian army can accomplish!
That plane looks like a dump. Have they no pride?
So far, I have not seen any maps that show possible launch locations for the Patriot.
Russia was led to believe there was going to a Storm Shadow launch against the Kerch bridge.
So, Ukraine knows that Russia is reading some of Ukraine's message traffic. Cool.
The setup may have started the day before, but mission planning probably started shortly after Gerasimov was injured or killed.

A little duct tape and Bondo and they’re back in business.
The image is from 2021. The Admiral Makarov had been part of the Black Sea fleet for years. It just was not operational, recovering from severe damage.
Downed A-50 pilots were found near Berdyansk, their frozen remains lying in the snow.

According to independent sources, Oleg Volodymyrovych Bdzhola, deputy commander of long-range aviation of the #ruZZian Air Force, was on board the plane.
