Laws banning the Nazi salute and the display or sale of symbols associated with terror groups came into effect in Australia on Monday as the government responds to a rise in antisemitic incidents following the Israel-Gaza war.

They don’t want competition to their tyranny.
Sooner or later it becomes an issue of self-preservation when dealing with Allah and his killers. The same goes for Nazis. There is no middle ground.
Australia is a kind of mixed bag. Because their national language is (a form of) English, Americans tend to think the Australian values must be pretty much like American values.
There are sharp differences in several aspects. Australians still have a relatively stiff separations of social classes, for which a command-and-control social organization is customary, therefore making them much more pro-socialist than flyover country Americans. Another is the idea of individual liberty as outlined in the Bill of Rights, of the US Constitution. Gun ownership, in recent years, has become sharply regulated, to the degree that almost all the privately owned guns have been confiscated and destroyed, with heavy penalties for failure to surrender, or concealment of possession. When COVID struck Australia, the lockdown orders were as draconian as those imposed in Communist China. NOBODY was allowed outside except for the most extenuating circumstances, the treatment protocols were the very same that proved so ineffective elsewhere, but again harshly enforced, and masks, useless though they have been found to be, were absolutely mandatory, I believe, even in the home. Only New Zealand exceeds these restrictions, if that is possible.
Throw the Islamic intruders out? For the most part, Australians consider them to be model citizens, except for this niggling little problem of frequent displays of violence. But more importantly, the Australian society NEEDS an underclass to boss around and show their superiority, and the Middle Easterners fill that niche quite nicely.
A stiff separations of social classes. Australia is a British colony after all, so that is expected. We Yankees got rid of that ridiculous social structure. But we tend to think of Australians as rugged individualists, and it’s not just from the Crocodile Dundee movies. To think that they would allow such draconian measures such as gun seizures and COVID lockdowns seems odd to us.
