CNN says that they’ve found it, in someone’s back yard.
When will we get to see the report on the salvaged CCP balloon equipment rack?
The FBI’s still busy. They’re trying to find the person who left Hunter’s cocaine in the West Wing of Joe Biden’s house.
Ha ha…
Never.
The finder will win a door prize.
PING
They found the door.
Excellent
“Bob” found it in his backyard:
Over wing emergency “door” plug:
"Bob" found it.
Reply should be: As the chief attorney in this case my client’s injuries will be addressed in court and the government can view the door at that time.
Bob found it in his back yard. He should have put it on eBay.
If I see I’ll be sure to let them know.
Thanks fo the link to the picture,. I wasn’t sure what they meant by “plug”.
It probably fell to the earths surface.
Emergency exit doors over the wings don’t have hinges connecting them to the plane so they are kind of a ‘plug’ but I have never heard them referred to like that.
It takes 2 hands to remove those doors and set them inside the cabin or toss it out. One of my flight attendant classmates had a heated discussion with a one armed man who wanted to sit in the emergency exit row, insisting he was completely able to open the door with ONE arm. Uh huh.
That’s not true anymore. B737 New Gen (700, 800, 900, Max) have gull wing emergency exits. They are hinged at the top and electrically deactvated when in flight.
Main cabin and aft doors are still plug type.
My understanding is this was not an emergency exit, rather a fuselage section that has structure for an emergency exit but is not used as an exit.
I’m a couple of years removed from the industry but am type rated in the B737 and had initial instruction in the MAX before they were in active service.

Can see why they are so anxious to find the door. Something went very wrong here and it's a brand new plane
The reason no one was killed had a lot to do with the fact that the door plug blew off at only 14,000 ft.
That's really low altitude for such a failure. Missing, defective or improperly tightened fasteners are my guess.
