A Washington state agency has dismissed a complaint filed against a Tri-City political action committee over some controversial campaign signs.
The complaint centered on allegations that false and intentionally misleading signs were placed next to a Kennewick School Board candidate’s signs.
The We Want Accountability PAC posted signs pointed at school board President Michael Connors’ signs, with messages like: “Voted With Liberals 100%,” “Kept Our Kids In Masks,” and “Supports CRT (critical race theory) in Schools.”
State campaign finance laws prohibit sponsorship of statements with malice that constitute libel or defamation.
But staff with the Washington Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) say the allegations didn’t meet the state’s standard for damaging speech

Truth is the defense.
Big Brother runs to mommy over signs.
IF the claims are untrue...
Per the article, the joker won reelection nonetheless.
Of course he did.
Uh those signs next to Connors campaign sign try to point out why HE should not be elected.
Actually this is good news in a deep blue all mail in voting state. This is the only agency in this state that actually tries to do their job regardless of who you are and more importantly what letter that follows the pols last name.
“Actually this is good news in a deep blue all mail in voting state.”
In it hardly deep blue in the Kennewick /Tri-Cities area. Where at least a couple of us FReepers live.
I live in a red county too, but we’re still under the boot of Pugetopolis. Can you buy any parts to repair your American Sporting Rifle in the red TriCities area? I didn’t think so.
Our problem is too damn many have left for free states and many left don’t vote or participate because of voter skepticism. The Seattle ooze has reached Yakima and Spokane, it’s just a matter of time before they overpower Benton, Grays Harbor and Pacific counties.
Grays Harbor switched to hard red 10 or 15 years ago due to the Spotted Owl debacle, now after the scamdemic when Aberdeen became the #1 infill location for work at home liberals we saw in the last election cycle people going wobbly.
Hopefully by November many will have had to relocate back to Pugetopolis for their employment. It’s all folly unless the dimocRAT control gets beat back, it doesn’t seem like that’s going to happen anytime soon.
Thanks for the reply and have a good year!
Same to you. We’re in for a very interesting year, for sure!
