Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Turkish and Greek leaders on Saturday, marking the beginning of a week-long trip around the eastern Mediterranean and Middle East to discuss the next phases of the ongoing war between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Blinken started his day in Istanbul to meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Blinken and Erdoğan discussed the war in Gaza, the White House said a press release.

Greece is barely functional. The Greek economy is a disaster and there’s no prospect it can recover as they have the same demographic problem of the rest of the Western world. The young people in Greece are immigrating to countries with better economies and more employment. So there’s no possibility of Greece ever growing again. The problem between Greece and Turkey is the oil and gas under the sea. Since Greece owns all the tiny islands, they have the rights to the oil and gas. Turkey wants the islands so they can develop the oil and gas. Greece can’t realistically stop Turkey from taking whatever they want. I think the thing holding Turkey back from doing the same thing Russia is doing in Ukraine is the current president has destroyed the Turkish economy and America is still too involved in the region and could sanction Turkey. If they ever get their finances in order, they’ll have the money to develop the oil and gas, which means going to war with Greece. It will happen sooner or later. Basically, Turkey needs to wait until America finally decides to go home.

Despite the U.S. Department of Defense claiming yesterday in a Statement that while Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin was Hospitalized beginning on Monday he was still able to “Act using his Powers as Secretary”, it has now been Revealed that he had been in the Intensive Care Unit at Walter Reed for the last 4 Days and that Deputy Secretary of Defense, Kathleen Hicks assumed his Duties and Powers even though she continued her Vacation in Puerto Rico; while all of this occurred Members of Congress and the American Public were still only Notified on Friday.

Blinken delivering a warning to Turkey and numerous Arab nations: “I want to warn you against a wider conflict! The American president is not all there and could easily stumble into a war by not knowing what he is doing or simply doing evil for evil’s sake. He has a Secretary of State that is a complete buffoon and screw up and has an ego bigger than a Chinese spy balloon. Avoid them both for the sake of peace!”

Blinken is a moron. There are terrorist groups all over the middle east and north Africa.

Good site for their 15 minutes of fame:

Terrorist groups lie and kill right in front of you. And does anyone think that sending the idiot over there to reason with people is going to make one iota of difference? You can’t work with terrorist groups diplomatically because that requires diplomacy and an understanding of wishing to change and compromise. Those groups haven’t changed or compromised in over 2000 years and I don’t think Blinken is going to go over there and dazzle them into it. This is how they live. He’ll be lucky to stay out of the detention centers where the women were raped and impregnated by terrorist groups.

I didn't see your post before making the same observation on other threads.

Amazing, isn't it?

It reminds me of Adm. John Kirby declaring that he saw no chaos in the Afghanistan withdrawal. He probably sees nothing wrong the Sec State in the Middle East, the Sec Def in the ICU, and the President out of the loop.

And his temporary replacement was on vacation in Puerto Rico!

I used to say things were unbelievable, but with this regime anything is believable.

On a visit to Qatar, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Israel must do more to protect civilians in Gaza, and that Palestinians displaced by the war must “return home”.

Well not necessarily so....
