Send the bastards home if they don’t like the accommodations.

Send the bastards home even if they do like the accommodations.

Ditto what you said. I’m tired of these bastards coming here and demanding free stuff like WE owe those freeloading azhoes something. We don’t own THEM anything. The bastards have been living off of American foreign aid for decades and it has finally caught up with them. The malingerers don’t know how to care for their own goatsmellin’ arses.

I predict the time will come when we will be visited by govt officials who will determine how many of these illegals we will each have to house.

Your father and his family would have seen many ups and downs, as they arrived in a new country only a few years before the 1930s Great Depression. Good on them for working, and persisting, and establishing themselves.

As you say, in the past, there was no government social welfare for immigrants. There was more direct community aid - Irish communities provided charity for newcomers - so did Italians, etc. Very spartan charity, in most cases. But enough to keep someone going until they were established. A soup kitchen run by Sisters of Charity is very different from governments booking hotels.
