thats te he translation I was taught. it wasnt a bumpersticker , it was 4 letters

You’re correct. Tradition holds that the sign was I.N.R.I., Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudeorum.

Jesus the Nazarene King of the Jews.

The first three words are in the nominative case.
Iudeorum is plural genitive (possessive), “of the Judeans” or “of the Jews”
