Christians in Bethlehem are very transactional. They have to say positive and empathetic things about Palestinians so that they can continue to be allowed to be present and unmolested within the city of Bethlehem.

Was a terrible terrible decision for Christians, who were safe from most of the Moslem terrorism, suppression, and tyranny while the IDF and local Israeli police were protecting them.

It’s exactly like the Vietnamese locals with the VC in total control when Americans not physically present. Hence, the Christians there must cancel Christmas and rail against IDF, because Hamas controls there, still, and will after the IDF leaves, because the good and brave are too few in numbers and either died or leave.
