While I used to assume Odessa was a goner I have come around to the idea that Ukraine will keep it.
I’ll be surprised if Ukraine loses it now.
I bet
We are waltzing into to WW3.
And right now, I am not sure the US will have western Europe as it’s allies.
I think Odesa was always one of if not the main goals. I don’t think this ends until the Russians take it.
If Russia conquers Ukraine, Poland, the Baltic countries and Eastern Europe are next on the list.
Wait and see.

The Russian Navy is certainly turning the bottom of the Black Sea into a naval junk yard.
It depends on how magnanimous Putin wants to be. NATO and its client are incapable of preventing the Russians from doing anything they want in Ukraine. Considering the fact that Odessa has been Russian since Catherine the Great, it will soon be Russian again.
If Ukraine doesn't surrender, the Russians very likely will move on Odessa.
There is no way Russia is going allow another military build up in what's left of Ukraine and keep any access to the Black Sea.
If you're conceding territorial loss, then you should be pushing Ukraine to surrender. It's the only chance it has of avoiding being landlocked country as poor as Moldova.
