So, how about everything else the government places restrictions on minors for? Drinking? Driving? Voting? Sex?

Government already does this!
Kid gilets HIV. You have no right to know.
Kid gets an abortion it’s illegal for the parents to be told.
The government always knows better, unless you are a very loud minority voting block or if you have kompromat on the politician.
