U.S. intelligence officials determined the Chinese spy balloon used a U.S. internet provider to communicate
CNBC ^ | Dec 28 2023 | Courtney Kube and Carol E. Lee

"U.S. intelligence officials have determined that the Chinese spy balloon that flew across the U.S. this year used an American internet service provider to communicate, according to two current and one former U.S. official familiar with the assessment."

"The balloon connected to a U.S.-based company, according to the assessment, to send and receive communications from China, primarily related to its navigation. Officials familiar with assessment said it found that the connection allowed the balloon to send burst transmissions, or high-bandwidth collections of data over short periods of time." More at link

Lets hope that the Military was monitoring and intercepting the send bursts and replacing it with Gibberish and excepts from old Disney cartoons. Who knows what the Buffoon in Chief was doing or thought.

It would have to be Verizon or AT&T since T-Mobile is owned by the Krauts. I think Verizon has gotten rid of its British ownership.

Then the provider and the NSA will have that data to look at.

Not surprised.
And I bet orders were to leave the net traffic alone and not analyze it or otherwise try to decipher it.

.

So that is why the brandon regime let it traverse the entire US and did not shoot it down until it was over the water east of South Carolina.

The balloon could communicate back to China with just a cell connection. No conventional radio comms needed.

.

I’d bet the military could intercept the signals.

Why?

Because back during the Cold War Soviets and Americans would both send out very quick blasts of information on shortwave.

We learned about this in high school back in the 80s.

So the technology is old, just now they are using ISPs instead of shortwave.

Probably used a Facef*ck account, who would enthusiastically support anti-US activity.
