Blink!
Deep down, I was hoping they would follow through with this political stunt. Keeping Trump off of the Ballot, then being humiliated by the SCOTUS reminding them that they were outside of their jurisdiction, would leave the State of Colorado financially liable.
It would be Judicial malpractice, election interference, and potentially could cause the 2024 election to be ‘redone’ if Trump lost because of these shenanigans. They must have sensed the risk after getting their headlines and smear completed, and thought it best to ‘stay’.
All this by Colorado Supreme Court Justices, appointed by democrats, in a state that has more voters in some counties that eligible people. Wonder what the SCOTUS would say about that...
They knew this wouldn’t float. And if the SCOTUS doesn’t hear it I will be shocked. The Colorado court got its point across through the media that Trump was a villian in this no matter what the court actually trying the case says since they haven’t started trying it yet to stall until no sooner than election day or after. So this tactic is keep the fire burning not to cook anyone is a two sided sword as they will have to live through with this failure and you can bet Trump will remind them of it...often. Heh, heh,heh....

This is why it was important for the CO GOP to file the appeal, rather than the Trump campaign.
The Sekulow’s at the ACLJ filed a motion with the SC today also.
Yes, that’s correct. As long as President Trump appeals the decision to the Supreme Court, the appeals court stays their own ruling – essentially indefinitely. The Colorado primary ballots printed, and the primary election will be over, before the Supreme Court puts this on their docket.
I believe the Colorado Supremes stayed, pending appeal, their own decision. I can’t imagine SCOTUS is impressed with this move. Just a bunch of cowards it would appear.
It’s almost as if Trump is planning the shark jumping moves of these imbeciles.
Big of them.
This may cause the SC to say its ruling is moot. This would leave the door open for other states to continue harassing Trump.
Hat tip to Colorado GOP so much for the uniparty BS propaganda.
We already have the caucus system set up and running in this state.
Let's just let the caucus pick the nominee this cycle.
If we don't, then there's the possibility the US Supreme Court would decide not to hear the case for whatever reason and Trump would be off the ballot in a heartbeat.
Let's run our own shown. The SOS can kiss our ass.
Good. I don’t like Trump but this was blatantly unconstitutional. Let me decide if I want to vote for him or not.
CO obviously knew they were going to lose before SCOTUS. I can’t believe that even the leftist justices would have upheld this.
I only lasted five minutes more than Brandon. Tapping out. But excited to vote for Biden as soon as I can. Let’s restore civility. #LetThePeopleDecide— Shenna Bellows (@shennabellows) September 30, 2020
“Griswold announced that she will include Trump on the primary ballot on the Jan. 5 certification deadline, unless the U.S. Supreme Court affirms the lower court’s ruling or declines to take up the case.”
“Or declines to take up the case”
If the USSC doesn’t, then Colo. wins. Fortunately, Maine has decided to jump in with Colorado, and they may have company, so it seems the Supreme Court will have to take it up.
Wow, had to read that headline 3 times.
The whole thing was a Dem publicity stunt from the very beginning.
They don’t want a SCOTUS precedent. These cases are springing up all over, and that itself cries out for a SCOTUS precedent.
