But government central planning worked so well for the Soviets and the Soviet Bloc in the 20th Century!

The more people who buy EVs the less popular they seem to be. Sounds like a product that doesn’t come close to living up to the hype.

Most car companies are losing Tens of thousands of dollars on every vehicle out the door to some idiot customer.
If that isn’t stupid I don’t know what is.

The Soviet Union died a grim death due to government central planning. Fair warning to the Bidenistas out there, a collapse is coming.

the Biden-Edsel weighs heavily on the shoulders of the taxed population.

Maybe they need to give an ICE vehicle to each EV buyer. Could have a family member or friend drive the ICE vehicle and park it in charger stations ahead of the EV so their trips would be less harried.

nobody wants a “parts bin” electric car.
They want a quality built for electric - Thus Tesla has come out the winner.
To: ChicagoConservative27
Government shouldn’t be stealing taxpayer money to subsidize this.

There are higher insurance costs on EV as well. I suspect the Feds are (or will be) putting pressure on insurance companies to subsidize their EV rates by overcharging ICE vehicles. Ditto higher license fees for ICE vehicles, higher gas taxes, etc. Most changes will happen after the 2024 “election”.

It all depends on the electric car. Far too many of them are crap. The good ones sell just fine. Tesla is going to deliver 1.8 million this year - all sold at a profit.
