VIDEO: In the Blue South Bronx of NYC, they love themselves some Trump

We know that President Trump is gaining in the polls. But how's his campaign doing in deep blue enclaves, such as, oh, among the black- and brown-skinned voters in the South Bronx?

NewsMax reporter Cara Castronuovo heard that President Trump was considering doing a campaign rally in the Bronx, so she did some actual reporting, checking out the sentiment of the man on the street in that solid blue threshold.

What she got was this:

It's not news that President Trump has made some gains among minorities, particularly among black people. People in the inner cities are hit by the triple whammy of Bidenflation, unpunished crime, and illegal immigation undercutting their jobs and wages.

But is the sentiment really that intense? It sounds as though Trump might just get a ticker tape parade if he campaigned in the Bronx.

Now while it's possible the videoed interviewed were cherrypicked, and she got as many negative responses as positive or more.

But the preponderance of data and other evidence suggests that it wasn't.

First, says it was not, and acted as surprised as anyone at the response in her statement near the end of the video. She added that didn't have to look hard to find out-there, in-your-face Trump supporters among South Bronx's denizens, having gotten all she needed in a span of 20 minutes.

More significantly, the trend data support her.

A look at the voting maps in this report from Welcome2theBronx, a local outlet showed that the South Bronx went from dark blue in 2016, to light blue in 2020, meaning, President Trump has already made significant gains in the area, with Joe Biden's failed leadership, it's entirely plausible that Trump's support rocketed upward, as it has in many places.

Areas that were red in 2016 just got deeper red or expanded in 2020 showing higher turnout for Trump this year. Although the city was overwhelmingly blue, all across the five boroughs there were tens of thousands of more votes for the Trump.

And the South Bronx showed the highest jump with one district covering Hunts Point, Mott Haven, and Melrose showing 2,500 more votes this year for the president than in 2016.

The South Bronx went from a deep blue in 2016 to most districts showing a higher vote for Trump in 2020. And over in one particular district which covers the Clocktower expansion luxury apartments where rents go as high as well above $4,000 a month, Trump went from 15 votes in 2016 accounting for 3% of the total to 60 votes accounting for 11% of the total.

While we can’t say for sure that it was the gentrifiers in that particular district that voted for Trump, the only change since 2016 in that area are the gentrifiers who have moved into several new luxury developments including 190 luxury units at The Crescendo and several dozen more nearby.

I would recommend rallies in Detroit, Muskegon and Grand Rapids, MI, Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, multiple PA locations, Georgia locations, Virginia locations, Nevada, Arizona, and even Virginia.

Sometimes I wonder who even knows what’s going on in NY City electoral politics.

If I recall correctly (and someone correct me if I’m wrong) in 2020 it literally took weeks for NYC to finish counting the vote due to typical bureaucratic bloat and stupidity and the results we saw were simply extrapolated.
