Gov. Kathy Hochul weighed in on efforts to keep former President Donald Trump off presidential primary ballots after Colorado’s highest court declared him ineligible to run under the U.S. Constitution’s insurrection clause.
“We’ll see what the Supreme Court does. It’s not something we do, but it’s something I’d watch very closely because that was one of the darkest days in our nation’s history,” Hochul said Wednesday. "Jan. 6 will live in infamy. Shame on us if we forget that. Shame on us what happened to this country when a Capitol that I used to proudly walk in as a member of Congress was literally under siege, people died, people were injured, and if he doesn’t take responsibility for that, then the American people ought to hold him accountable. So that’s what’s starting in Colorado.”
The Colorado Supreme Court points to Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment, which says anyone who “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” is forbidden from holding office. The provision was mainly used after the Civil War to keep former Confederates out of government.
Trump’s campaign has called the ruling flawed and that it plans on appealing the case to the U.S. Supreme Court.
A similar effort is underway in New York as a handful of state senators wrote to the state Board of Elections earlier this month asking Trump be kept off the ballot. Lawsuits in other states have failed until the Colorado ruling.
State Senate Judiciary Chair Brad Hoylman-Sigal, a Democrat from Manhattan, co-signed the letter and issued a statement saying the Colorado ruling reinforces their calls for Trump to not be on New York ballots.
“It’s incumbent on states to enforce Section 3 of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution and ban Trump from the ballot,” Hoylman-Sigal said. “I hope New York will be next.”

Have you ever been introduced to a person and not knowing them, you take an instant liking. The same scenario, another person you hesitate, question, doubt, and decide you don’t like. Do you know why? Personality conflict? Or an inner feeling?

Okay.. we are in a spiritual battle ..for this nation to survive, versus global control with your freedoms gone! It’s happened to other nations..and anyone once living through it, recognizes it.
I believe God chose Donald Trump to save this nation. This nation is the one nation founded on Godly/biblical principles/standards, and God is not going to let it go. The founding fathers quoted scriptures and applied them.
My family background.. My heritage, is Christian.. Strong believers. Several generations. I have no problem believing God is in control and knows each one of us.
If you think Trump is not the perfect man God would choose.. Read the Bible.. There were no perfect individuals except Jesus.
God said He chose by knowing the heart of a man. He said we judge by looking at outward ways, physical attributes or lack of. You can’t fully know what is in a man’s heart, but God can and does.
He chose a man who cares and who would do what has to be done..and a man who could take what Satan’s minions would do to the man who dared cross the old corrupted guard.
He has thrown in his all!! His business, his wealth, his health, and the best he has.. His family! He hasn’t quit.. He has rallies..the people love him. The ones who hate are sold out to the devil..they may not know it, but it’s clear they serve the opposition.
The world is run by that opposition. A good man who has good intentions is eaten alive..
Nothing the left has tried to pin on Trump, is true.. They can’t beat him doing it the right way.. They have to stoop to corruption .. Take him out with accusations. Get people to believe them.
In conclusion, if God chose Trump, God can protect him. And those who are tearing us apart and corrupting everything, will themselves, end up with nothing.

I haven’t read that Trump is convicted of any offenses. If he was, maybe there’s a case. But that’s not where we are at now.
