The left actually believes he led an insurrection. In a sense his entire presidency was an insurrection against the actual rulers of this nation (not Congress or the President). That’s the insurrection that torques them so much they will do anything to prevent a threat to their power and money again.
Trump’s insult to them was not Jan 6. It was refusing to accept them as his rulers during his presidency.

i suspect desantis has something there: several credible (but anonymous) insiders told me that certain members of the colorado supreme court were paid off by trump’s campaign to throw their decision AGAINST trump, because trump’s campaign believed that such a negative decision would “solidify support” for Trump in the GOP primary ... the campaign’s next move is apparently to paid officials in 25 other states to prohibit trump from their primary ballots as well ...
