I have never seen a politician mis-understand the people he’s trying to get to vote for him more than DeSantis.

I’ve also never seen one self-immolate so thoroughly. At his relatively young age, he’s unnecessarily destroyed his political future as completely as Gary Hart did.

You look dumber every time I see your posts. Give it up. RDS has become a joke.

The dems wouldn't have to do anything to beat him. He's shown the world (and the dems) that he's an incompetent campaigner with a horrible series of hires for his staff.

Grow up, he's toast, a self-made flop.

People are delusional if they think the next front-runner won’t be crucified as well. The only reason Ron isn’t taking flack is because he’s not going to be the nominee.

You seem tied into the talking points of team desantis, so dish out the dirty behind the scene stuff about the desantis warroom...

How have your ideas on influencing social media been working out, or are you just one of those that repeat the desantis talking points?

So DeSantis is suggesting the Dems secretly support Trump over him? Hahahaha the fool is starting to look desperate - not to mention delusional.

Yeah, with something like a 70 point lead, it was a very close call for Trump to win the nomination. This "stunt" is what put him over the top.

:)

They absolutely want to run against Trump, and if you look around in the news, among the general Republican and independent voter, at least 25% won’t vote for Trump if he is convicted, which means he cannot win the election, regardless of who is competing against

Then I guess you need to get ready to lose, because we are going into the race with Trump.

There was a single poll that found about 9% of independents would not vote Trump given a conviction. And that poll’s Margin of Error for that question was very large because the sample was taken out of 1000 respondents, some of which were Independents, and some of those who answered that they were not already completely sure of their vote. This reduced the sample size substantially and raised the MOE.

There are no polls saying this of GOP voters. Not surprising because Independents are the majority of respondents nowadays with a 25/25/47 mix Dem/GOP/Ind. There would be far too small a sample size for anything statistical meaningful.

The phrasing of the question also implied it possible the conviction could be for murder.

There is essentially no evidence the legal issues will stop Trump.

This is true. Every time Trump suffers some legal attack, his support goes way up. People feel they have to suppprt him. Supposedly it was 4 Colorado GOPers and 1Dem who presented this complaint.

I think everybody feels we have to support him against these attacks, even if we have no intention of voting for him.

Actually, it’s the only motive that makes any sense at all.

It’s a disgustingly stupid, pure political cheap shot by DeSantis who knows full well that this is nothing more than the Dems. latest effort to stop Trump. It’s obvious DeSantis is not the man Vivek Ramaswamy is as DeSantis, rather than accepting Vivek’s challenge, embraces this unconstitutional effort to interfere in a National political election and blames the whole thing on Trump.
