States with reparations task forces:

California, with a 64 Billion dollar deficit.

New York, with a 6 Billion dollar deficit.

I wonder who they expect to pay for it all.

Hochul: "I have an idea! Let's offer reparations to blacks using the tax dollars from those who never had a slave to those who never were a slave. The taxpayers don't pay attention to such things and the blacks will vote to keep us in office!"

As I've shown in other posts and having served as an expert witness in over a hundred such cases, the purpose of reparations is to leave the plaintiff in a position of financial indifference. In other words, what are the economic consequences of being here versus the six major slave export countries during slavery, I've done a present value analysis and it turns out that each black owes each non-black in the US just over $640,000 each. Whoever did the reparations calculations got it backwards.

The fact that law enforcement isn’t cracking down on the looting and mass shoplifting that goes on is proof to me that these governors are using this lax on crime attitude act as “soft reparations “

How about the idea that your policies that put illegal migrants ahead of blacks is what's holding them back?

OK, here’s a fair solution. Find out the average salary of a black in New York state in 2023. Then look up the average salary in Nigeria. Subtract the difference, and all black New Yorkers must pay that amount to the state of New York. Or, accept a one-way ticket to Nigeria. Or just forget the whole thing!

IOW running credulity past it’s limits and testifying to it under oath.

Good job!

IOW they were better off as slaves!

Any analysis that reaches that conclusion is intellectually destitute and morally bankrupt.

Will they be prevented from receiving welfare if they are given reparations? Because the vast majority of welfare cash - billions, maybe trillions - have gone to generations of blacks that are lazy and generate a good potion of the crime in this country. The welfare dollars they've received should be viewed as reparations, so they aren't deserving of any more taxpayer dollars.

Offerman’s presence is the tell: (a) Casting budget under 2M; (b) CGI budget less than that; (c) this was a steamer streamer that the studio quickly determined in pre-pro couldn’t go a full season, and wrapped up instead in shitribbon as Election Year agitprop.

Kathy Hochul is a class-A IDIOT. Why is she looking to further drive NY into the ground by searching for unnecessary ways to financially burden it? She is really a commie through and through. NY was never a slave state. Why should reparations be paid to people? How will they prove that they descended from slaves? I predict many more of the actual earners in NY particularly NYC, will exit the state to escape this additional and completely stupid financial burden.

"Still holds us back"

Not as much as making people who have never owned a slave pay money to people who have never been slaves.

Before it became New York it was called New Amsterdam!
Why is that important?

Well ..

The Royal African Company

Chartered by Charles II in 1672 and headed by his brother the Duke of York for more than two decades, the Royal African Company held a monopoly on trade with Africa which included gold, silver and slaves.

From 1680-86, the company transported an average of 5,000 slaves per year, most of which were shipped to colonies in the Caribbean and Virginia.

Thousands of slaves arrived in the New World with the company’s initials branded on their chests.

Why did I think it important to post this very short history of a company that probably few have ever heard of?

New York!

Since the Virtue Signalers are demanding that everything that is offensive to blacks be torn down or renamed .. why not start with New York?

After all, New York was named after the great Trader of African Slaves, the head of The Royal African Company ... King James II, also known as the Duke of York.
(Heck .. The family that owns the New York Times were slaveholders!)
