New York Governor Kathy Hochul has signed a new bill, which will order a commission to study reparations and racial justice in the state.
The Democrat announced she would be signing the legislation during a ceremony at the New-York Historical Society in Manhattan on Tuesday.
'Today, we are continuing our efforts to right the wrongs of the past by acknowledging the painful legacy of slavery in New York,' Governor Hochul said.

Where the hell is she going to get the money for this with ALL the money being given to the immigrants, which is EXACTLY WHY this bitch is throwing this out there!! Same thing going to n in CA. promising reparations YET we don’t have the money just a bunch of BS to keep the communities on the plantation!!!
Since San Francisco had to take a powder on reparations - it’s up to others to keep the dream alive. Of course they never have to actually deliver. Just keeping it in the news and on people’s minds is enough.
The need a task force to teach history.
The first thing they need to learn is that any “debt” that might have been owed to negro slaves (and I dispute even that) was paid in full in the 1860s.
And the white folks that fought to free the slaves? My kin from the Hudson Valley went. Waiting on a check!
I hope this is as successful as it was in San Francisco where it had to be shut down due to budget cuts.
