Putin Admits Russia Has Suffered Huge Losses in Ukraine [363,000 casualties]
Newsweek ^ | Dec. 14, 2023 | Aila Slisco

Posted on 12/15/2023 2:28:53 AM PST by canuck_conservative

"Russia lost 360,000 people in the war, according to Putin," Matveev wrote. "244 thousand mobilized. 486 thousand volunteers. And there are only 617 thousand at the front. Entertaining military mathematics from Putin.

"The losses were 113 thousand people," he continued. "But there was also the invasion group and those who were recruited before mobilization. And this is around 250 thousand. That is, Putin literally admitted irretrievable losses in the amount of 363 thousand people."..

The figure does come close to the 315,000 claimed Russian troop casualties that were revealed in a leaked declassified U.S. intelligence document this week.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine claimed in a Facebook post on Wednesday that Russia had lost 342,800 troops since first launching its invasion on February 24, 2022. The U.K. military also estimated in mid-November that 302,000 Russian personnel had been lost...

Over a year ago, I correctly predicted on this forum that the globalists and their Zeeper followers would jack up the Russian body count as Ukraine edged closer to defeat. It's the only thing they have left.

The Russian body count keeps going up, simply because Russia sucks on the battlefield and is losing

That’s why Putin will have to do another mobilization

“Matveev wrote” that’s almost as laughable as Canuck wrote. Where’s the video of Putin saying this? It does not exist because this is more of your western disinfo stoogery.

It’s hard to believe anything coming out of the US media or intelligence, especially when they’re working on funding the war and selling it to the voters. I’ll wait and see.

Ukraine is fighting because their country was attacked & invaded, and they want it back

Why is Russia fighting? To boost Putin’s ego? Ukraine never invaded Russia

Russia never invaded the US.

The US needs to stop printing money for this “war”.
I couldn’t give a shit about either.

Not sure I see the connection between two points, but true casualty numbers is a difficult thing to come up with

WTS, Russian numbers claimed and actions(fourth mobilization?) seem dubious as well.

Would imagine if Russia had 600,000 or whatever latest claims are of troops in ukraine(curious how many are left “protecting” the rest of the federation) and their still claimed near unlimited stores of equipment and ammunition, that battlefront claims of successes would still be limited to hundred of meters.

Not saying situation for Ukraine is good, but same could be said for Russia. Not the best look after nearly two years

General winter is not going to be kind to both sides, but if I had to bet I would say the chances of a Russian wounded troop becoming a death, is higher than Ukranian chances.that is not a recipe for high morale and success

Will be interesting to see how increased atacms and western aircraft effect the battlefield dynamics

Have the Russians already claimed F-16s shot down, like they did Bradleys before even delivered

Will ethnic Russia start feeling the pinch, and if so what does that do for the power base of Putin and his opponents

Well part of the proof is that Russia can’t defeat Ukraine, even after 2 years

You’ll see more proof next March, when Putin has to do yet another mobilization

(and another 700,000 Russians flee the country)

I think it is probable ukraine has lost lives so far of ~500k
8 million or more Ukrainians fled the country
Even little Z is rumored to be living out of the country for fear of his people turning on him.

What are the right/exact numbers?

Good luck finding out on either side.

Ukraine needs to pursue peace.

Ukrainians hate Russia ever since Stalin starved millions of them while collectivizing the farms. Ukrainians will never give up. There is nothing dumber than a dumb Russian. And I say this as a granddaughter of a Russian grandmother. However, my grandmother and greatgrandmother wanted nothing to do with the criminal mass murdering Bolsheviks and fled Russia for the European community in China when the murderer Lenin and his fiendish cohorts took over. She began talking to me about the evils of communism when I was six years old.

Casualties have never mattered much in Russian wars. Didn’t Russia lose upwards of 30 million in WWII?

I’m not surprised Russia’s losses are high. traditionally they have been in wars and they have also been on the offensive more than not.

However what isn’t being said is how high Ukraines losses are. I think likely higher than Russia, and considerably so. That happens when one side has 10X the artillery as the other.

It’s been an all around SNAFU and bloodbath. Which is why I wish they would negotiate and have peace. I LIKE THE COMMON PEOPLE OF BOTH NATIONS…ALL Slavic peoples, certainly better than the Muslim and turd world hordes pouring into Western Europe.

Yeah that statement was rash and probably hyperbole.
