Lifetime York County resident and former Pennsylvania governor Tom Wolf sold his house in central Pennsylvania and plans to move to Philadelphia with his wife, according to a local report.
Wolf and his wife sold their Mount Wolf home and will move into a Philadelphia apartment, according to the York Daily Record.
“I spent 75 years in York County, and I love this place. So many wonderful memories,” Wolf told the York Daily Record Thursday.
Mount Wolf was named after Wolf’s ancestor, Adam Wolf.
The Wolf family ultimately decided to move so they could be closer to their children and grandchildren, who live in Philadelphia and New York, the story said.
Wolf and his wife will spend Christmas in their new apartment and plan to be moved out in about a week, the YDR said.

Maybe it will be depopulated and more pleasant by then.
Make sure the apartment building has an elevator. I go weekly to my 80yo FIL who lives on the fourth floor to food shop and take down garbage. And wash dishes and stuff while I am there. But that does help to see the family more, haha.

Why is this newsworthy? What’s the relevance of an old private citizen moving to Philly?
All of the south central PA news outlets have carried this story of a deep blue Democrap bailing from his ancestral red county for the one place where, if the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania needed an enema the tip would be inserted.
I still don’t get it. Is there any more context or is that it?
Indigo-blue Ex-Governor bails from the deep red County settled by his patralineal ancestors 250 years ago for the deep blue, crime infested, election-stealing city of “Filthydelphia”
I do understand how this might not seem newsworthy outside of the Northeast/Mid Atlantic.

I hope that Tommie (”the Commmie’s”) departure will reddend that midstate; at least enough to return Patriot Scott Perry (R-10) to Congress.
