Here is novel idea, enforce the laws already on the books and put criminal in jail.

Enforce the 40,000 plus state laws, and over 100,000 state and federal laws already on the books should do the trick, but no, the left want more and more laws- apparently, I. Their minds, all the laws they have passed to date aren’t “sensible gun laws” because civilians are still, allowed to own guns, and use them for.... gasp.... self defense

Putting criminals in jail costs money. And since certain demographic groups are ‘over represented’ in jail, that’s also a problem. Outlawing guns costs nothing (except freedom) and decreases the chance that the peasants might get uppity.
