Please do not pull this thread. Where else can appropriate civil disobedience strategies be discussed? We know there’s a line risky to cross. But peace and safety are not always the answer.

The difference being, for example, a particular post from a poster who shall remain unnamed, maybe here at FR or maybe at some other online forum, which endorsed the notion of taking a particular person, who shall also remain unnamed, out and shooting him/her. In the context of that one singular post it was actually, let's say very bad, quite bad indeed, and leave it at that. Good thing it wasn't even necessarily here at FR...

The poster who posted the post defended it on the grounds that he's ALWAYS advocated for Nuremburg type trials for uh, suspected "High Criminals" blahblahblah, which seemed rather weak IMO considering that no one is going to examine someone's "Body of Work" in the face of such a statement.

For me personally, that was the point at which I agreed with the assertion that there are people posting at certain online forums who are not what they present themselves to be.
