The basic problem is that republicans are the kind of folk that “storm the capitol”, then stay within the velvet ropes as they walk around.

The problem for the DS comes when the urban population that doesn't own property or have much to lose gets angry with the Bidet Regime. They are starting to catch on that the illegals are getting $5k checks, free flights to desired states, and don't have to follow the same rules everyone else does. When these people revolt because the government is illegitimate, they won't stay between the rope lines in the capitol.
