I still think Joe will be expected to limp all the way to the Convention. Then it’s time for his health problems to “suddenly become apparent”. And the Convention will choose someone by acclamation at the last minute. No time for campaign stumbles by the new person. No time for opposition research. No time for media scrutiny. Some say it will be Newsom. I say it will be Michelle (who won’t work a single day but will blatantly vacation for 4 years while First Husband Barack enjoys his fourth term in office.

Julián Castro is an American lawyer and politician from San Antonio, Texas. He is not completely unknown, having served in the Obama Cabinet, 2014 to 2017, as Secretary of HUD. It would take little effort to polish him up and give him wide exposure, and might just shore up the Hispanic vote.

1) Have all passionate GOP voters revved up about "Brandon", as if he is the real problem. When he is "beaten" (forced to withdraw by clever memes and sites like this one), these people will (naturally) feel like THEY won something and will be lazy about Newsom when they should have been prepping for the past year.
2) All the GOPe candidates will be painted as elder abuse perps as the sobbing Biden family welcomes Newsom and Whitmer to the stage as the new face of the new Democrats.
