In a sane world, the “committee” that decides such things as playoffs could gollee jee just hold a zoom call at 3 pm today and set up another playoff game.
I’m a rabid Longhorn fan of 50+ years but I think it’s absurd to screw over FSU given their perfect no loss season.

FSU played a weak schedule with their best win over LSU, and LSU team that was on a downward spiral.
Sure, they beat Florida, but Florida is not a strong team. The other wins were over Duke, Pitt, Wake Forest, Boston College and mighty North Alabama.
I’m surprised FSU did not schedule a game against Smith College.

The fact that a team must “lobby” to get into the CFP is a stark testimony that the committee and process is corrupt. The Donald needs to lay off DeSantis. None of the other candidates can beat Trump, but the Donald can lose!
Sorta like when Auburn tried not to lose to Alabama on 4th and 31 by not putting any pressure on the QB. They let Jalen Milroe sit back long enough to shop around for an open receiver, so AU LOST!!!

I don't get it. The true nature of a playoff is...if you win, you advance. There is no selection needed. Not really fair.
But it's the NCAA. They wanted to introduce a playoff system to silence all the complaints about the bowl system...but keep control.
So, we have what went on here on Sunday. NCAA wants it, well, they get it.
