The bomber(s) must have misunderstood the part of the Mass that goes “Let us now exchange with one another the Sign of Peace”

My in-laws live in NW Mindanao, in Butuan City.

I forgot to mention, Butuan City is in NE Mindanao, Agusan Del Norte province, not NW Mindanao.

First they came for the “Saturday people”....

Not always. During the French and Bolshevik Revolutions they first came for the Sunday people. (And they never came for the Saturday people in the former case.)

In our own case, in the U.S., they first came for the Sunday people during the Summer of Floyd.

Just had another 7.0, northeast of Davao City. This is getting old. I saw news that said there were 765 aftershocks. I only felt one, then the one a few minutes ago.

You have had quite the lengthy experience so far -— no ‘one and done’ this time. I hope things will quiet down for Mindanao soon.
We’re far enough away (about 500 km) that there was no discernable earth movement around us.

The earthquakes just keep coming, one right after another, with no let up. The article I read yesterday, said there were 765 aftershocks. It’s a lot more than that now.

These goddamned filth need to be annihilated.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I’ve been urging the Israelis to ignore all the whining and moaning by the leaders of other countries and continue the annihilation offensive until the demise of the last Hamas soldier standing. AND TAKE NO PRISONERS!

That had me confused also. Actually Butuan City is due north from Davao and the earthquakes seems to be due east from there.

My error.

Yes, NE section of Mindanao, but NW area of Caraga region, facing the Sea of Bohol, not the Pacific Ocean.

I don’t even think of the Zamboanga peninsula as part of Mindanao anymore.
