Twice, Burke has joined other conservative cardinals in issuing formal questions to the pontiff, known as “dubia,” asking him to clarify questions of doctrine that upset conservatives and traditionalists. In the first, they asked Francis to clarify his outreach to divorced and civilly remarried Catholics, and Francis never replied. In the second, they asked whether same-sex couples could receive church blessings — and received a conditional maybe in response.

I listen to Michael Matt (Remnant News) weekly on the latest Vatican machinations. It appears Francis is increasingly finding himself on the ropes with his anti-Latin Mass efforts. Bishop Strickland started the common sense resistance movement within the ranks and I sense it’s spreading. As the late Father Malichi Martin’s book long ago proclaimed, the Vatican had become the wind-swept house where sin and evil reside. Weak leadership in the man-boy pedophilia scandals was where, in my opinion, Satan gained his foothold. As Matt says, the Church will survive with the help of stalwarts like Strickland, Burke, and Mueller, but the anti-Biblical evil must be first driven out of the Church, rather than a place where sin is rationaized away as it is with Francis.
This pope is no prophet. He is a progressive and even though this debate is really about theology (orthodox vs heterodox), and whether the Bible means what it says or not, to progressives everything is political. He is following down the same path that has caused so much division in Protestant churches regarding WOKE arguments. These people have already taken over education, entertainment, sports, law, commerce and every other aspect of our culture, but if they can take over the RC Church, they will have landed the “big enchillada”. They will not rest until their dark world is complete.
