The 10-month-old baby held hostage in Gaza has been killed, according to Hamas, as Israel’s prime minister vowed to return to all-out war.
Kfir Bibas, the youngest person to be taken hostage, died in captivity alongside his four-year-old brother Ariel and their mother Shira, Hamas said in a statement.
In a video statement, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, said there had been questions over whether Israel would return to war after “this phase of returning our abductees is exhausted”.
On Wednesday, Joe Biden called on Israel to show restraint. “To continue down the path of terror, violence, killing and war is to give Hamas what they seek,” the US president warned. “We can’t do that.”
Welcoming the release of the hostages, Mr Biden did not address the possible ceasefire extension but said he “remain[s] determined to secure the release of every person taken hostage by Hamas during its brutal terrorist assault on Israel”.

As long as Hamas can get back their prisoners in exchange for hostages, then there will be more hostage taking.
The only answer is a policy of “no prisoners”.

There's a reason it's been almost 80 years since an American said, "Gee, Wally. I sure hope Japan doesn't attack us again." Same for Germany not attacking Europe or Russia since WW2 -- Germany lost too many lives at home at the end of WW2 (unlike how WW1 ended or the Franco-Prussian war, which IMHO is why we had WW2).

Yes. Countries tend to shy away from wars if they have a history of their citizens suffering terribly in previous ones. There is an old adage: Wars are won or lost at home.

They should make it their sole occupation to fight until every last one of Hamas is dead. There’s no coming back from this. So be it. They killed any chance for any two state solution to exist. Even though that’s impossible with soulless people like this anyway.
The number of hostages taken is an estimate. Nobody really knows how many were taken, nor where they all are now.

With the exception of leftist a-holes in MSM most knew the story the that Hamas gave the infant to another faction was a lie. The baby was already dead at that point. Meanwhile Traitor Joe is extorting Israel to get them to stand down.
I am holding out hope that this is just another cruel Hamas "joke" to inflict more pain on us all. What a darling baby. Before Israel kills each and every one of these subhuman savages, I'd love to see them amputate their raping equipment--with a dull rusty steak knife.
